Who is “Lake Home Resource”?

My wife and I purchased our first lake home in Traverse City in the Spring of 2000.  We purchased the home without even seeing the home.  We just knew that we wanted to live on Spider Lake in the East Bay Township.

When finally did see the home, we learned that there was ‘deferred maintenance that needed correcting and we immediately set plans in motion for completely remodeling the inside and outside of the home.

Chances are, you may have experienced something like this and, like us, you realized that there is a lot of work that goes into homeownership but there is also a LOT of joy, especially if you live on a lake.

Why “Lake Home Resource”?

The purpose of this website is to provide homeowners, regardless if you live on a lake or not, some tools, tips, ideas, products, and services to make this journey a bit easier and maybe even a little fun.

Work In Progress!

Please understand that this website is now, and probably always will be, a work in progress.  This is not a corporate site.  This is just my way of offering a little assistance to my neighbors, near and far.  This is something I’m doing in my “spare” time.  Full-time, since 1982, I’ve been helping folks with all types of real estate financing and home sales.  My passion has always been to show people how use mortgages as short-term leverage to achieve their goals, then show them how to pay it off quicker!  In fact, I’ve recently launched another blog called “OutSmartDebt.com” to help even more people live the REAL American Dream:  A Debt-Free Lifestyle.
